About
The Puppy Sketches
Q: What type of medium does the artist use?
Christine can be considered a "digital fine-artist."
While her background is in fine arts, her work has evolved
to encompass new technology. The combination of disciplines
lends a unique edge to the art that cannot be accomplished
using traditional techniques alone. Using a pressure sensitive
tool/tablet, along with an advanced art computer program,
it's possible to "virtually" hand draw or paint
in just about any medium, using every art tool imaginable.
The final image is output onto high quality canvas or watercolor
paper specially designed for use with high-resolution printers.
The dramatic results go above and beyond traditional prints.
Q: What can I expect to receive when I order a print?
Each print comes matted or stretched onto a frame (unless
otherwise noted). If matted, a clear plastic sleeve will protect
it. Each is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied
by a certificate of authenticity. Many prints are "standard"
size so paying for custom framing is unnecessary.
Q: How do I care for my print?
Each print is protected with a UV blocking substance. However,
it is recommended that you do not display any artwork in direct
sunlight. If possible, frame with UV glass.
Q: When I commission a print, do I own the copyright
to it?
No. The artist retains the copyrights to all artwork that
she does. However, the artist and client discuss any prints
that would be created from a commission. Some people prefer
that the commissioned portrait be the only one in existence,
while others are ecstatic that prints are made of their beloved
pets. Prints to raise money for rescue is a great way to honor
a special pet, their memory to live on forever through compassion
for the ones who still need a warm bed and a loving person
to honor them.
Q: Can I have a print sent as a gift?
Yes. When ordering, make a note of this. You can also email
us with special instructions.
Q: I have other questions that you haven't covered.
Please feel free to ask
anything!
